TAPIEx.NET Component Documentation

Welcome!

TAPIEx.Net Component is not an end-user application program that provides CallerId, voice mail, screen dialing, etc. TAPIEx is a telephony programming component for beginning to advanced developers. Add telephony functions to your application with TAPIEx.Net, the easiest to use and powerfull telephony control on the market.

TAPIEx.Net can be incorporated in to applications to make and answer voice or data calls, detect Caller ID on incoming calls, detect remote party DTMF key press tones, generate DTMF tones etc. TAPIEx is TAPI (Microsoft and Intel Telephony API) compliant. We have put together a simplistic overview of TAPI, it's connectivity models.

TAPIEx works through Microsoft's Telephony API (TAPI) to provide hardware-independence (the freedom to work with telephony devices from many manufacturers).

The only requirements for using TAPIEx are:

  • Windows OS, Windows 2000/XP/Vista or later.

  • A Development environment that supports Microsoft .Net

  • TAPI compliant telephony device and TSP (TAPI driver)
